While Oistins may be a modestly-sized area within the Christ Church parish, it boasts one of the most exquisite beaches on the island: Enterprise (Miami) Beach. Officially known as Enterprise Beach, it’s colloquially referred to as Miami Beach, capturing its allure and glamour.

Situated on Enterprise Beach Road (or Enterprise Coast Road, depending on your reference), just a quarter-mile west of Highway 7 on the South Coast of Barbados, this beach is a mere 10-minute stroll or a quick 3-minute drive from our condos. What makes this beach stand out, apart from its natural beauty, is the convenient local vendor offering delectable treats. Be prepared for potential queues, as their offerings are always fresh and prepared to order.

Delectable Dining and Vacation Rentals

Should patience not be your virtue, fret not. A brief 5-minute walk from the beach leads you to Oistins Fishing Village, a treasure trove of local vendors dishing out mouthwatering fare. Oistins is primarily a residential neighborhood, steadily gaining popularity for its vacation rentals. Noteworthy among these is Little Arches Hotel, housing the esteemed Café Luna restaurant. Miami Beach’s charm lies in its duality: a tranquil, sheltered side favored by the locals and a more expansive, wave-kissed expanse for those seeking a bit of adventure in the waters. Abundant shade and inviting picnic spots adorn the beach, ensuring a comfortable experience.

Navigating Your Way to Miami Beach

Embarking from our condos, a swift left followed by an immediate right onto Enterprise Beach Road is your route to this coastal haven. A mere 3-minute drive or a leisurely 10-minute walk brings the beach into view.

Getting There: Transportation Options

  • ZR Vans or Public Buses: Both ZR vans and public buses frequently ply Highway 7, offering access to the beach at the Oistins Post Office stop. A short walk from there leads to the beach.
  • By Car from Bridgetown: If you find yourself in Bridgetown and wish to include a beach stop on your return journey, follow Highway 7 until you reach Oistins. Continue straight as Highway 7 splits after passing the Oistins Police Station and Post Office. Take a right onto Enterprise Drive (adjacent to Bloomdale Apartments), then follow Enterprise Drive toward the beach, veering right at the intersection. Turn onto Enterprise Beach Road, and there you have it—beach bliss awaits. Parking options are ample, with street parking nearby.
